Drinking for the Cause. Through hard work and community collaboration, board members and staff of Psychology For All hosted their Summer Fundraiser event on May 10, 2018. Held at Three Spirits Brewery with food provided by Two Chicks and a Truck, over $400 was raised through the generous contributions of more than 30 guests who participated in the event and the raffle.
Top raffle items ranged from a set of beer glasses for four, a $25 gift card to Three Spirits Brewery, to Charlotte Knights baseball tickets for four and many more spectacular items. Special volunteer, Amanda McGough, assisted with the event. Her platform on suicide prevention awareness aligns with the mission and goals of the services provided by Psychology For All. The amount raised will be used to help fund the cost of psychotherapy for individuals who currently face financial and cultural barriers that prevent their access to mental health services. All proceeds will go to support the PFA mission of removing these common challenges and make long lasting, positive impact at the individual, family, and community level. Since its inception in 2015, Psychology For All has been increasing the access to psychological services and information by providing financial assistance and help those unable to afford psychological care, and by creating and distributing information regarding psychological issues to the public. Thank you to all the generous donors for making this year’s PFA Summer Fundraiser a success!
