My involvement in PFA has given me a more in-depth understanding of how past traumas can continue to affect my life if I do not deal with them appropriately. I have also established coping methods that I can use in everyday situations. Having access to mental health services has not only helped me to improve my well-being, but it has also enabled me to communicate with my family members about the importance of taking care of one's mental health and that it is not stigmatizing to do so. My main reason for seeking out services with PFA was to try and find help to cope with trauma.
