Psychology For All sponsored a very special project carried out by Silent Images. The founder and director, David Johnson, put together a mental health film series that covered some of the most prolific mental disorders impacting our nation. Compass & Light: A Series on Mental Health consists of three films highlighting stories of people who have anxiety, bipolar, or depression. This wonderful project had the purpose of raising awareness and understanding of mental health in America.

On October 28, 2018, PFA actively participated in Silent Images’ Compass & Light film viewing event. Not only did we spread the word about our mission and services by distributing flyers and seeking conversations with the public, PFA members also served as panelist during the depression and anxiety discussion forums following the respective short- films. We thank Maria Brady and Myque Harris – our panelists – for sharing their expertise and knowledge regarding these mental health disorders, and for representing our organization so magnificently! We also thank David Johnson for allowing us the opportunity to contribute to the project and take part of such powerful conversations!
