Become a Clinician

Become a Clinician

To participate in our program, mental health service providers must meet the following criteria:
  • Be fully licensed in the State of North Carolina
  • Have up-to-date credentials and certifications in their area(s) of expertise
  • Must be able to provide a copy of their Professional Liability Insurance
  • Must be able to see clients within Mecklenburg County
  • Offer a safe, clean, and suitable working space in which clients can be served

Potential clinicians will need to complete the following steps:
  • Complete and submit the PFA Clinician Application - the online application is linked below. If you don't want to fill out an online application, please email our Executive Administrator, Carrie Reinhardt, at [email protected] to request a PDF copy of the clinician application.
  • Provide proof of credentials (e.g., copy of licensure(s) and/or certifications)
  • Provide proof of liability insurance

Once your application and necessary documentation are received, these will be forwarded to the Clinical Services Committee for consideration. The Clinical Services Committee will take approximately 7 to 10 business days to review your information and determine if your expertise matches the needs of our clients.  A meeting between you and a member of the Clinical Services Committee may be scheduled to meet you and answer your questions. If your clinician application is approved, PFA will counter-sign the Clinician Network Participation Agreement and send it back to you. All mental health service providers will be notified of their application status and progress via email or phone call.

Upon approval, the Clinical Services Committee will work on matching you with clients whose individualized needs match your professional training and skillset as a licensed mental health provider.  All notifications of application and matching status will be shared via email. When treating PFA clients, monthly invoices should be sent to Carrie Reinhardt, Executive Administrator, at [email protected] for payment.
