Meet Our Clinicians

Carlea Atkinson, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Picture

Carlea Atkinson is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist with a passion for helping people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she's dedicated her career to walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. Her approach blends Person-Centered and Solution-Focused therapy, creating a collaborative space where to identify what’s holding you back and build practical tools to move forward. She also integrates an understanding of how relationships, environments, and systems shape your experience—and how to strengthen your voice within them. Over the years, she's worked in a range of human service settings and supported clients of all ages and backgrounds. She's trained in Positive Parenting Practices (Triple P), Strengthening Families, CBT, and Intensive Family Preservation Services, and tailors her approach to the unique needs of each person or family. Whether you’re a teen exploring identity, a young adult navigating transitions, or a parent building new strategies, her goal is to help you show up for yourself with more confidence, resilience, and clarity—so you can thrive both in and beyond therapy.

Beth Bareiter is the founder and owner of Bareiter Counseling Center.

"Life is full of struggles and difficult experiences that I would be honored to help you walk through on your healing journey. I strive to create a nurturing environment where you can feel safe in working through your pain. I value the relationship that we will develop through offering a compassionate and supportive approach to therapy. We can explore together the meaning behind your story. During therapeutic conversations, I ask thought provoking questions that help you reflect. These questions encourage deeper self-awareness to open the door to real and lasting change."

Jennifer Carragher, LCMHCA

Picture

Jennifer Carragher is a therapist who helps people with things like childhood trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, betrayal trauma, and relationship issues, including infidelity and intimate partner abuse. She can't make you into a zen master who never feels sad or angry again. But she can help you understand your experience, create a 100% non-judgmental space to process and move past your traumas, provide you with tools and education to make your struggle easier, crawl below blanket mountain with you during the bad times, and shower you in chocolate and eco-friendly glitter during the good times. She primarily uses "parts work"/IFS to help people work through their challenges, but she's also pragmatic, so she focuses on what works in practice with each individual.

She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and utilizes EMDR and DBT to help clients meet their personal goals. Additionally, she has training in yoga therapy and CBT-E for eating disorders.

Alexandra Halberstadt, Clinical Psychologist

Picture

Alexandra believes therapy is not just about easing suffering—it’s also about nurturing joy and deeper connections with others. She works with clients to engage more meaningfully with their lives and to tap into their inherent capacity to heal, adapt, and thrive. Her approach is grounded in a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework, while drawing on CBT-consistent tools from a range of orientations—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed stabilization treatment, and self-compassion practices. This allows her to tailor her approach to meet each individual’s unique needs. Her therapeutic style emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and cultivating authentic connections—both within therapy and in clients’ wider lives. She has experience supporting individuals facing trauma-related challenges, as well as those living with anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. She is committed to providing affirming, inclusive care to clients from all backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time in nature, rock climbing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Challenges with the relationships closest to us can result in feelings of anxiety, sadness, and frustration. Together, we’ll develop a plan that will empower you to live the life you deserve.

Many have lost loved ones, felt overwhelmed, and have been stressed out. Often times, our loved ones and children may be feeling those stressors also. Allow me the opportunity to partner with you in developing the skills and tools needed to navigate your world."
