Our clients receive up to 8 sessions from our partners and are eligible for more sessions as needed. The cost for each session will be paid by Psychology for All. 

 

Who we serve

Adult (age 18+) residents of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area who need mental health services but face barriers to access.

 

These barriers may include:
  • Lack of insurance coverage
  • Financial difficulty
  • Cultural barriers/stigma
  • Lack of awareness

 

How to become a client

Adults over the age of 18 who are currently not under the care of a mental health provider:
  • Must be uninsured and financially disadvantaged as demonstrated by proof of household income.
  • Must be able to provide proof of household income (tax return, Form W-2, paystub, proof of unemployment)
  • Be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (http://familiesusa.org/product/federal-poverty-guidelines)
    • Family of 1: $17,820 annually ($1,485/month)
    • Family of 2: $24,030 annually ($2002/month)
    • Family of 3: $30,240 annually ($2520/month)
    • Family of 4: $36,450 annually ($3037/month)
  • Be able to see a mental health provider in Mecklenburg.  8 sessions to be provided upon matching an individual with a provider.  An additional 8 sessions may be provided upon the recommendation of the mental health provider.
  • We do not discriminate based upon race, sex, education, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, ability/disability, sexual orientation, gender self-identification, age, country of origin, first language, marital status, or citizenship.
  • Individuals or families interested in accessing psychotherapy services through Psychology For All must complete an application and pay a one-time non-refundable application fee.  The fee is $10 for an individual or $20 for a family.  Individuals must attend all appointments as scheduled.  Individual support will be terminated after two missed appointments.
We hope to be able to expand our services in the future to include children but are not currently able to provide services to children.
