Maya Buckner is a recent graduate of UNC Charlotte, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Medical Sociology. She has a professional background in yoga instruction and nutrition coaching, and is passionate about exploring the intersection of mental and physical health through the mind-body connection. She's currently in the process of applying to graduate school, where she hopes to pursue a dual master's degree in Social Work and Public Health. She long-term goal is to advance equitable access to holistic, evidence-based mental health care. In her free time, she loves singing karaoke with her friends and spending time with her Chiweenie, "Princess Pippie." She is thrilled to be joining Psychology for All as a Gap Year Intern, where she can contribute to making lifesaving mental health services accessible to everyone.

Eliana Burgin recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Davidson College with a B.S. in Psychology and English. At Davidson, she received an Honors in Psychology having successfully completed and defended her undergraduate thesis “A Meta-Analysis of Anger in Social Anxiety Disorder.” As a PFA intern, Eliana hopes to gain valuable hands-on experience in community mental health outreach and initiatives. She hopes this will expand her knowledge of accessibility needs and gaps in mental healthcare. While interning for PFA, Eliana will be working on graduate school applications to pursue  her PhD in Clinical Psychology. In her free time, Eliana enjoys reading, writing, playing video games, and spending time with her friends, family, and dogs!
